BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Villages in New York State are governed by a Board of Trustees, generally comprised of five members - a Mayor and four Trustees.
Board members are elected to four year terms and, as a legislative body, are charged with the management of the affairs of the Village.
A. Martin Petrovic, Mayor
Mayor Petrovic's public service dates back to 1997 when he began a six-year, three-term run as Village Trustee. During that time he served,
at one time or another, as Deputy Mayor, Youth Commissioner, Fire Commissioner, and Police Commissioner. Petrovic's role as the Village's
Chief Executive began in March 2007.
Mayor Petrovic lives in Trumansburg with his family, and is Professor of Turfgrass Science in the Horticulture Department at Cornell University. His
current term expires in 2014.
Rordan Hart, Trustee
Rordan Hart was elected to his first term as Village Trustee in March 2007. He currently serves as Police Commissioner and sits on the
Board of Directors of the Greater Tompkins County Municipal Health Insurance Consortium.
Hart lives in Trumansburg with his wife, Lindsay, and is employed as a Stockbroker with an online brokerage firm. His current term expires in 2012.
Debbie Nottke, Trustee
Debbie Nottke began her service on the Board of Trustees in March 2008. She serves as Youth Commissioner, Farmers Market Liaison, and is
the Vllage's representative on the Tompkins County Council of Governments (TCCOG).
Nottke lives in Trumansburg with her family, and is a retired Nurse Manager. Her current term expires in 2014.
Christopher Thomas, Trustee
Christopher Thomas was elected to his first term as Village Trustee in March 2007. Prior to this, he served on the ZBA from 2001 to 2006,
and as Chairman of that board from 2004 to 2006. Thomas was also a member of the Village Comprehensive Plan Committee.
Thomas currently serves as the Fire/EMS Commissioner. His current term expires in 2012.
