BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Villages in New York State are governed by a Board of Trustees, generally comprised of five members - a Mayor and four Trustees.
Board members are elected to four year terms and, as a legislative body, are charged with the management of the affairs of the Village.
A. Martin Petrovic, Mayor
Mayor Petrovic's public service dates back to 1997 when he began a six-year, three-term run as Village Trustee. During that time he served,
at one time or another, as Deputy Mayor, Youth Commissioner, Fire Commissioner, and Police Commissioner. Petrovic's role as the Village's
Chief Executive began in March 2007.
Mayor Petrovic lives in Trumansburg with his family, and is Professor of Turfgrass Science in the Horticulture Department at Cornell University. His
current term expires in 2008.
John Hrubos, Deputy Mayor/Trustee
Deputy Mayor John Hrubos has served on the Village Board of Trustees since 2004. Prior to that, he served on the Village's Zoning Board of Appeals for three
years, and as its chairman for the final two years of his tenure. Since his first term as Village Trustee, Hrubos has been the Commissioner of the Water,
Sewer, and Public Works Departments.
Hrubos lives in Trumansburg with his family, and is the owner of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Ithaca. Most evenings he can be found walking thru
the Village with his two Bernese Mountain Dogs. His current term expires in 2010.
Debbie Nottke, Trustee
Debbie Nottke was elected to her first term as Village Trustee in March 2008.
Nottke lives in Trumansburg with her family, and is a retired Nurse Manager. Her current term expires in 2010.
Rordan Hart, Trustee
Rordan Hart was elected to his first term as Village Trustee in March 2007. He currently serves as Police Commissioner.
Hart lives in Trumansburg with his wife, Lindsay, and is employed as a Stockbroker with an online brokerage firm. His current term expires in 2012.
Christopher Thomas, Trustee
Christopher Thomas was elected to his first term as Village Trustee in March 2007. Prior to this, he served on the ZBA from 2001 to 2006,
and as Chairman of that board from 2004 to 2006. Thomas was also a member of the Village Comprehensive Plan Committee.
Trustee Thomas currently serves as Fire Commissioner and Main Street Project Liaison. He lives in Trumansburg with his wife, Justine,
and is the proprietor of Air-Tight Spray Foam, Inc. Thomas' current term expires in 2012.
